In December 2011, the Japanese government declared Rinku Town and Izumisano City a Comprehensive Special Zone. Osaka Prefecture and Izumisano City has developed a Comprehensive Special Zone Plan. Based on this plan, the public and private sectors have been working together to create a base for international medical exchange.

Located near Kansai International Airport, Rinku Town and Izumisano City area offer convenient access to the rest of the world. We aim to create a vibrant, attractive community where people from Japan and overseas can visit and interact with each other.

In March 2021, the third phase of the Comprehensive Special Zone Plan was approved. As part of our efforts, we are striving to promote international medical exchange and improve hospitality and local attractions for overseas visitors to Japan.

This website aims to introduce how we promote international medical exchanges.

We are committed to providing world-class medical care of the highest quality and satisfaction.

As part of our efforts to promote international medical exchange, we have been improving the medical support system for overseas visitors in Rinku Town and Izumisano City Area by training medical interpreters, developing the international medical exchange base facility “Medical Rinku Port” (opened in October 2016) for highly advanced cancer treatment, etc. Aside from being able to treat cancer patients domestically and abroad with endovascular therapy or with etc, this facility also developed an International Medical Exchange program with overseas doctors.

As a result of the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic in 2020, the number of overseas visitors has continued to decrease significantly. However, upon Arrival and Departure requirements to travel in Japan have been greatly eased since October 2022. Because the vaccinations widely promoted both in Japan and overseas.

In 2025, Osaka will host the Osaka-Kansai Japan Expo (World Expo 2025) with the theme of “Designing a Future Society for Our Lives”.

The Expo is expected to attract approximately 28.3 million visitors from Japan and abroad, bringing together global advanced knowledge to address a wide range of global issues.

Considering the large number of overseas visitors expected to attend the Osaka-Kansai Japan Expo, Rinku Town and Izumisano City Area will be aiming for creating system to receive safe and assurance medical care. Also, the area will be focused on providing highly-quality and highly-satisfaction medical service.

Medical Corporation Ryoshikai IGT Clinic

The three letters “IGT” in the name of IGT Clinic are short for Image Guided Therapy. By using a thin tube known as a catheter under the guidance of CT or angiography images, IGT Clinic is able to treat diseases without cutting the body.

Specializing in endovascular therapy for cancer treatment, unlike traditional medical facilities, IGT Clinic offers a comfortable and relaxing environment that allows patients to remain stress-free and maintain a high quality of life for patients while undergoing treatment.

Rinku Medical Clinic

As a private practice clinic with a cell culture and processing center (CPC), Rinku Medical Clinic provides regenerative medicine (stem cell therapy for chronic pain) and cancer treatment.

The main treatments for cancer at Rinku Medical Clinic are gene therapy, light therapy, and ultrasound therapy. And we continually update our knowledge by keeping current with the latest research.

Moreover, we work closely with the IGT Clinic to determine the most appropriate treatment for each patient.
